Bear Lake

We decided to take a little family outing to play in the sand and water at the big, beautiful and nearby Bear Lake.
Braely Bug enjoyed soaking in some rays (actually she really just wanted to eat the sand and wasn't happy when I kept taking it out of her hand:)

She also praticed some of her "almost crawling"

Dal enjoyed digging and playing in the sand
We were impressed with his creativity and skill :)

Him and his daddy also had fun making a little lake
We also made a sand tower that Dal liked to jump off of into his lake
Chillin' with daddy
Dal borrowed my sunglasses
While there we also had a picnic and we didn't leave town without sharing one of their famous raspberry milkshakes.
Good times with the fam! :)

Half-Birthday Summer Party!

Since both our kids birthdays are in December we decided to have a little half-birthday summer party for the kids.
Dal borrowed the camera and went around the house taking pictures of things. It was really funny because when I looked at the pictures he had taken I noticed a cute little pair of feet in most of the pictures:)
Here are some video clips of Braely Rae....
This one is her showing off her spitting talent. She used to do it all the time, especially when she would get excited. (She then moved on to doing a cute little scrunchy face and sniffing her nose:)
This one is her talking and making cute noise and Dal joins in on the conversation as well.

We went to the Children's museum in Ogden and Dal had a great time. He could have stayed there all day but us and Braelyn got a little worn out.
One of the play areas was for the children to pretend they were doctors and take care of the babies. Dal was so cute because he played the part of doctor so well and took good care of the baby. He's funny because everytime any of us has an owie he always wants to see it and tells us what we need to do to take care of it, but when he has an owie he doesn't want us to look at it he just says "It's fine. It will heal itself." Maybe we have a future healthcare provider in our midst...:)
By the time we got home both kids were pretty tuckered out.

Dal took two sessions of swimming lessons this summer and he loved it!

We threw a baby shower for my sister-in-law Tiffany so we headed down to Provo to party and spend a few days with them. We can't wait to meet their sweet little one when he comes!
(It's kind of funny because all of my sister-in-laws on my side of the fam are pregnant. Lots of babies to come!)

One of the things we did while in Provo was go to the Bean museum at BYU.
The kids enjoyed looking at the animals.
Braelyn was pretty fascinated with seeing Shasta the Liger
(She used to reside at Hogle Zoo)
I just had to throw in a bath time pic.
They both love taking baths and playing with the toys in the water.

Pure Joy

This is one of my new favorite pictures.
Thanks for getting such a great picture Tiffany!
To go along with it I thought I'd post a few more boating pics.

This is Dal's super excited about the boat and saying "cheese" face :)

Boating & Family Reunion Fun

We spent the 4th of July weekend with family playing on the beautiful flathead lake and staying at my parents cabin. It was so much fun!
While there we played lots of games, stayed up way too late, ate too much junk food, and greatly enjoyed it! :) We went to a restaurant where we ate some awesome fish and chips.
Of course the main even was boating, water skiing and wakeboarding.
I didn't get a picture of me wakeboarding but I threw one of Chase in here to represent:)
Dal absolutely loved the boat and Braely Rae had her first boat ride
Tiff & I (She is 7 months pregnant & has the cutest little tummy)
Dal, Chase & Jen were the front of the boat posse most of the time.
He had so much fun with them!

Hugs all around!
Dal went around giving hugs to everyone, especially after they skied, to help keep them warm. It was really cute! :)

The fun wasn't over yet. The next weekend we went to my mom 's family reunion camping at Downetta Hot Springs. It was Dal and Braelyn's first camping experience. Dal abosuletly loved camping! He has asked me to go every day since we got home.

The Reunion consisted of lots of games such as bocce ball, volleyball, football, etc. Each night we played Rook by lantern until all hours. We also had the annual family races. I competed in the women's age 16-30 division and I actually won the race. I overheard people comparing me to a gazelle. :) I was pretty proud of myself for winning, not that the competition was all that stiff, but hey I thought it was cool. Collin even has proof on video, for those skeptics out there :)

Dal had lots of fun playing with his cousins. We also went swimming in the hot springs and they had some fun water slides. Good times!
To finish off our weekend we went to Sandy to hear our Aunt and Uncle who were serving as mission presidents in Japan give their homecoming talks in church. It was so awesome to see them and hear about their experiences. It was so fun to see all of their family as well.
We just love the Hills!
