Track Meet...Lego Party...Summer Fun!

Just catching up on a few of the things going on this summer. Its been a busy summer of kids camps, and fun runs, and playing with friends, and trips, and...well everything!!

We decided to have Braelyn enter a track meet. She had never done anything like this before but we figured it might be fun! She did four events; 100 M, 50 M, and 25 M dashes and a softball throw. She placed in each event and had fun doing it!

Lego PARTY!!!!

We've been planning a Lego party all summer and the day finally arrived! First, we had to assemble the troops!

This took quite awhile :)

Then we had to open (and assemble) the new guys!! :)

... and add them into the mix! 

 

 Then the guests arrived and began to play and build.

Madelyn enjoyed being around the kids too!

Dalyn's best friend Tyler ... I'd tell you how much alike they are but by the time I got half way through you'd think I was making it up :) ... Two peas in a pod? Uh, more like two halves of a split pea :) #8yearoldsoulmates

Then we made Lego treats; graham crackers, with frosting "glue" and candy to make a sugary treat that looked like a Lego brick.

 

We bought a lot of new minifigures for the Lego party so that each child could take a minifig home with them.

We feel like such grown-ups now that we bought a framed piece of art :)

We decided that we were due for some new clothes. 

Step 1, throw away old DI, Goodwill, and Walmart clearance shirts that never really fit right or weren't that cute but were really cheap!!
Step 2, buy new shirts (actually this one was still Walmart clearance but this time fits much better :)
