Cookies and Christmas Eve

My friend Miranda gave us an awesome Christmas present--a huge basket of fun family Christmas things to do. One of those included sugar cookies and frosting, so we made some yummy Christmas sugar cookies.

We put those cookies, along with some other treats that we made (and that my mom made) and put together some plates to take to some friends and neighbors. This was our first Christmas living in a neighborhood and it was really fun being the recipients of so many yummy treats from our neighbors :)
On Christmas Eve we opened an awesome present from Sara & Gabby and we spent hours playing with it! It was a huge bin of perler beads and we had fun making all sorts of creations. Dal made a sword form Minecraft.

Braelyn made Elsa from Frozen. Take note that both Dalyn & Braelyn are wearing new pajamas that they opened on Christmas Eve. Some of the other Christmas Eve festivities included playing games, eating a fun appetizer dinner, reading Luke 2 in a book with beautiful paintings of it, and watching Joy to the World.

My parents and Chase spent Christmas with us and so Chase was excited to make some floppy discs :) He ended up making a set of them to use as coasters.

Once the kids were all tucked in their beds, the Christmas Eve prep began. Jake wanted me to pose next to "Even Bigger Bear" so that you could see how big this bear really is. This was one of Madelyn's presents.
